Neck Side Tilt

Gentle lateral neck stretch to release tension in the neck and shoulder area.

Goal
Step-by-step guide
- Sit or stand upright and relaxed.
- Keep both shoulders loose and low.
- Gently tilt your head to the right, right ear toward right shoulder.
- Actively press the left shoulder down to deepen the stretch.
- Keep the forehead level – do not tilt forward or back.
- Feel the stretch along the left side of the neck.
- Slowly return to center, then switch sides.
Breathing cues
- Breathe calmly and evenly.
- With each exhale, ease a little deeper into the stretch.
Common mistakes
- Lifting the shoulder instead of actively pressing it down.
- Letting the head fall forward instead of tilting sideways.
Recommended volume
2 to 3 holds of 30 seconds per side.
